My Empire Update July 22nd

Introduction
My Empire was updated July 22nd, and what an update! I don't know about you guys, but I've been waiting for this for so long! In this post, I'm going to take a closer look at some of the major new features; The Map Feature. Now, I now there's already a thread about this feature, but I'm going to do more details.

First things to do
The first thing you wanna do is to build a Barracs. This will allow you to train soldiers, whom you're going to need later, trust me. The amount of soldiers you can have depends on how many Generals you've got. The more generals, the more soldiers. And with more soldiers, you've got a higher chance of winning fights later. You start of with a maximum capacity of 100 soldiers. You'll also have one spot open for a general. I strongly recommend recruiting a friend to be your first general, that will bring your maximum capacity up by 100. We'll get back to how to unlock more generals later. Now, train some soldiers. I recommend training 200 soldiers (900 coins) the first time. 24 hours is a long wait, I know, but you sure wont regret it tomorrow!

Introducing the Map
Now that you got an army, we can start discovering! Start off by clicking the map icon. As you can see, you start off with 10 map fragments. You can receive 10 map fragments from friends each day, and you also automaticly receive 10 map fragments at midnight GMT time. As you need 30 map fragments, it shouldn't take more than two days to complete the map without using Playfish Cash or if you don't have enough friends.

When completed, you will see three islands. One of them is currently locked, the other one is the one you started of with and the third one is VOLCANO ISLAND That's the one we'll be taking a closer look at now. I'll get back to the locked island once I unlock it.

New fighting system
When you arrive the island, you'll see that your cousin gets kidnapped by barbarians. In order to rescue her, you'll have to defeat every single barbarian on the island. And this is where those soldiers come in!



Now let's get started fighting! To start off, click on one of the forest maps with a flag on it (not one of those covered with clouds of course). You will now see the amount of soldiers you have, the amount of barbarians and your chance of winning. It's basic; the more soldiers you have, the higher is your chance of winning!

Haha! It's actually possible to win against all odds
But that's just the basics (oh yeah, it's getting advanced ). Once you start pushing away those clouds, you will see some buildings. These my friend, are Barbarian Outposts! If you manage to win the fight against the barbarians defending it, you can hire another general! As I've already pointed out earlier; The amount of soldiers you can have depends on how many Generals you've got. The more generals, the more soldiers. And with more soldiers, you've got a higher chance of winning fights.

The Temple of Zeus
Once you complete fighting ALL of the barbarians, you'll unlock this beautiful, golden building; The Temple of Zeus. Each day, "The Gods" will offer you four items, OFFER. Unlike the mill, quarry and mine, you can pick from these four items yourself! Some of the items can't be obtained elsewhere, and are used to build the wonder Giant Moai Statue.

Other
I already told you a bit about the Giant Moai Statue, but here's some more info. You will already have this wonder clear to be built once you arrive Volcano Island. This unique wonder requires resources that only can be found on Volcano Island to be built. The resources are: 4x Ruby, 4x Emerald, 4x Topaz and 4x Sapphire.

You must complete fighting all the barbarians on the island in order to unlock the third island.
